How unique is God's love! God loves the world, simultaneously being in connection with it and outside it, without mixing with it. This love, like invisible rays emanating from His Heart, permeates all creation, passing from outside to inside and again from inside to outside. Or like air, which is both outside and inside living beings, water, which is around the inhabitants of the sea and inside them. The Lord sees and loves us both outside and inside, our inner world, loves us with all our imperfections and shortcomings. He loves us just like that, not for anything we do or don’t do in response to His love, even if we please Him with something, He Himself has a source of inexhaustible love for us, He ignites Himself with love for us, triumphs over us with rejoicing (Zeph. 3:17). His loving heart is ready to be crucified for us every day on Calvary. But since the Lord abides in eternity, He did this once for everyone, but in our time plane we remember and experience it again every Good Friday, every Sunday, at every Eucharist, we must remember this every day, since every new day is God's gift to us for a new union with Him, for being in His loving presence, in gratitude for His sacrifice on the cross, which revealed the ineffable love of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
It is difficult for us humans in everyday life to love each other so holistically and comprehensively. Usually we perceive each other only physically, emotionally and very rarely spiritually. On the physical plane we express love through movements, deeds, on the spiritual plane through words and attention. Sometimes we just sit silently, enjoying each other’s presence, sometimes we look at each other with a look filled with love, dissolving in our loved one. In this we are somewhere approaching that all-consuming God's love for us. The more attentive and focused we are on God’s presence, the more we abide in it, the more we are imbued with His love, the wider our heart, our love for God and our neighbors, the more developed our spiritual feelings, the more we can receive spiritual benefit and deliver it to others.
